Remote WordPress & LMS Developer / Website Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive WordPress & LMS Developer to manage, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve our corporate website and our client corporate websites.
This is a long-term, full-time remote contract position ideal for someone who thrives under deadlines, enjoys solving problems independently, and is excited to work with AI tools to deliver faster, higher-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot corporate and client WordPress websites.
- Administer and optimize LMS platforms such as LearnPress, LearnDash, Tutor LMS, or similar, including courses, quizzes, certificates, and user management.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate new WordPress plugins, themes, and AI tools.
- Perform regular website upgrades, security updates, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues quickly, especially under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Use AI tools to speed up development, content creation, QA, and support response times.
- Collaborate with the team on new feature rollouts, redesigns, and client website requests.
- Monitor site performance, uptime, and user experience and proactively recommend improvements.
- Stay current with emerging WordPress, LMS, and AI technologies.
- Provide day or night shift coverage as required based on business/client needs.
- Assist with web copy, course content, marketing materials, and other back-office tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on professional experience with WordPress website development and management.
- Demonstrated experience working with LMS plugins such as LearnPress, LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS, or similar.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar.
- Strong understanding of WordPress plugin/theme integration, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, high-speed, and secure personal internet connection.
- Willingness and flexibility to work day or night shifts as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality professional work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graphic design, UI/UX, or website visual layout skills.
- Technical writing skills including documentation, help articles, and process guides.
- Experience with website security best practices and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with certificate/credentialing plugins and verification systems.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, or JavaScript for custom fixes and enhancements.
- Prior experience supporting multiple client websites simultaneously.
